This partnership underscores Southern Cross Space’s mission to empower nations and organisations to establish their sovereign space capabilities. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Spazers to bring advanced satellite solutions to Oman and the region. This partnership represents a shared vision to develop a robust, sustainable space industry and foster local talent and expertise. Together, we aim to unlock new space potential and create opportunities that align with Oman’s ambitions of becoming a regional hub for space activities.”

Spazers, a joint venture involving Omani ETCO Space, Polish satellite manufacturer SatRev, and Polish tech company Tuatara, has been at the forefront of space innovation in Oman. The partnership with Southern Cross Space builds on Spazers’ accomplishments, including the launch of Oman’s first satellite, Aman-1, and further supports the country’s National Space Policy and Executive Programme.
The Omani government’s vision aims to grow the space sector’s contribution to GDP from its current 2% to 5% by 2030 and 10% by 2040. The collaboration with Southern Cross Space is set to play a vital role in realising these goals, positioning Oman as a regional and global hub for space activities while advancing its digital economy.
By combining advanced technology with a focus on upskilling local talent, this partnership not only ensures the delivery of high-quality satellite solutions but also strengthens the foundation for a sustainable, locally driven space industry in Oman and beyond.
